decorticate to remove the bark, husk or peel of.
enucleate to bring or peel out, as a kernel from its enveloping husks or shell.
pod the fruit, or its shell, in peas, beans, and other leguminous plants (verb) to shell peas
shale clay rock splitting readily into thin layers along the bedding planes (verb, Shakesp.) to shell or husk
shaley of or like shale.
sheal to shell, husk.
sheel (Shakesp.) to shell, husk.
shiel (Shakesp.) to shell, husk.
slipe wool removed from the pelt of a slaughtered sheep; (verb) to peel.
unhusk to remove the husk from.
unshale to strip the shale, or husk, from.
unshell to strip the shell from; to take out of the shell.
