MGI International Classics UK 2026 Under Way

MGI International Classics UK 2026 is under way in Milton Keynes. Follow it live on WESPA’s YouTube channel, with Will Anderson and Josh Sokol presenting and the ABSP Stream Team at the venue.

The championship began today (Friday 1 May) at the Leonardo Hotel, Milton Keynes. Players are competing for this year’s title over the course of the 4 days of the event, which will conclude on Monday afternoon.

The event is being streamed on WESPA’s new YouTube channel: youtube.com/@WESPAScrabble. Day 1: watch the live stream on YouTube. Will Anderson and Josh Sokol are presenting; the ABSP Stream Team is providing the technical side and back-end production live from the venue in Milton Keynes.

A major on the ABSP calendar

The ABSP now classifies this tournament as a major UK tournament and has backdated that classification to the inaugural event in 2024, so the two previous champions, Ed Martin (2024) and Harshan Lamabadusuriya (2025), each now have added another major to their tallies on our majors results page.
