Terry Kirk

Chairman

Terry Kirk

Terry took over from Allan Simmons as Chairman of the ABSP in August 2006.

Terry first started playing club Scrabble at Leicester Scrabble Club in 1984 after seeing an advert at his local library. In 1987 he moved to London and has been a member of the London Scrabble League (LSL) ever since. Terry was Chairman of the LSL for a time in the 1990's, a term which has stood him in good stead for his current role. Terry is a regular tournament-goer in the UK and has had several successes including Exeter and the Isle of Wight. He has been runner-up twice in the NSC, and finished second in the 2005 BMSC. Terry has represented England at the 2003, 2005 and 2007 WSCs.

Aside from Scrabble, Terry is an avid crossword solver and drinker of Guinness. He lives in London with his partner John.
