We are pleased to present The 2nd UK Open. Held at the excellent Aston Court Hotel aside the historical city of Coventry the tournament offers up to 38 games of Scrabble over 5 days. The inaugural UK Open in 2008 was one of the first tournaments in the UK to be internationally rated and we are happy to accept entries from around the world.

Our entrants in 2008 included Nigel Richards (current world champion), Mark Nyman (ex world champion), Paul Allan (current UK champion), Jake Jacobs (2006 UK champion), Helen Gipson (world's top female player) and many Grand Masters from the UK. We were pleased to see other international players such as Adrian Tamas, Mihai Pantis, Azu Ogbogu and Theresa Camilleri.

Running alongside the open division will be up to 3 divisions of 19 players who will play 36 games in a double round robin format with each divisional winner receiving £1,000. The round robins are open to all players ABSP rated 159 and under.

We are limiting entries to 100 players so an early booking is advised.
