Ross Mackenzie

Ross is currently the treasurer of the ABSP. He is also a former chair of the ABSP, succeeding Terry Kirk at the 2009 AGM.

After a couple of trips to London as part of the National Schools Scrabble Championships in 1993 and 1994, Ross started playing competitive Scrabble in 1999, joining the ABSP committee as treasurer in 2002. A member of Glasgow club, he plays in the Scottish League and attends local and national events in between his ABSP duties and his work as treasurer for the Scottish Scrabble Association. Past tournament wins include Aberdeen, Kinross, Lothian, Pitlochry, Shipley and the Scottish Round Robin.

Ross works as an accountant for the Scottish Children's Reporter Administration in Stirling. Away from the board, he has played oboe in a local orchestra, enjoys classical music in general and watches too many sci-fi and US imports on TV.
