Elie is Chairman of WESPA (World English-language Scrabble Players Association) and is the liaison to communicate matters to the ABSP that affect Scrabble players in the UK.
Elie started playing seriously in 1989, in the London League, and is a
former Treasurer of the ABSP. He thinks that tournament Scrabble would do
well on TV if properly presented.
When not playing across a board, he likes to keep fit with tennis,
volleyball and swimming.
